What’s your dream?

Now, I’m staying in Sydney in Australia. I have been here for three months. I have never stayed in another country for such a long time. Do you know why I’m here?
Before I came here, I worked in Ernst & Young Korea as an accountant. This job was so hard that I hardly had my own time. I didn’t have any idea about my future. Of course, I thought many times about what I would do later but in my job it was difficult for me to develop myself because I didn’t get the chance to learn other skills. So I had to make a decision for myself to live my dream.

I have always dreamed of my own accounting company since I became an accountant. I know that I’ll have to overcome many difficulties and I need to have lots of knowledge, experience, money and a good network. I had two choices. One was to continue to work for my company and the other was to have a holiday to have other experiences. I went with the second choice and made up my mind to come to Australia.

First, I decided that I would improve my English skills. The reason for it was that if I wanted to change companies for my career development, every company would require me to have English skills. And if I wanted to work with foreigners, I should know how to speak English. It is so important for me to realise my dream. That’s why I’m here.

Second, after I finish my course, I’m going to Korea and I’ll resume my job in Ernst & Young. I will work for one year. I will find another job involving a different aspect of accounting in the same company . I’ll try to understand about the many parts of the job and to employ some people who have same dream as me.

If I fail to found my own company, I might feel so sad and frustrated. But I won’t give up trying. It’s not impossible to be achieved. And achieving dream is difficult for everybody. If you were me would you give up?

Now, you know why I’m here. And what my dream is . Think about your dream and how to achieve your dream.

  1. Very good article...
I found some mistakes here, there are a lot of little mistakes but everybody can understand so I think that`s not a problem at all.
some mistakes you make using conditional, and I have to say, this is tough for everybody so don`t worry..
I hope you will get there...
my father did when he was 50, so can you!

  2. I really hope you to have a good time in Aus with some exciting events. I'd use I should know how to communicate in English.- instead of I should know how to speak English. You already know how to speak :)
