Watsons BAY

Today was the first day to take Austrailian culture class.
With Jay, the teacher who guided us, we went to the Watsons Bay.

Today's weather and the scenary was absolutely great.
I could enjoy seeing the beautiful cliff, taking a walk.
It took almost 2~3hours.
On the way to the Bay, I could see the bottle brush that is kind of tree,acasia.-
Jay told us-

(Please Do understand, my lack of vocabulary, grammartical erros.!)

-I 've been in Sydney for a month, but it was first time to visit Watsons Bay.

There was a famous cliff for suiciding(?), jumpping spot, in the GAP PARK.
-Jay told us about an famous model who had been murdered and dumped over the cliff.
but He doesn't know her name. She was only 20 at the time she had been killed.

-Fish & chips -11.80$ was my lunch
It was delicious, plentiful and having lots of fats too...
I shouldn't have eaten all, for my diet,, but I did. -_-
BUT I really enjoyed that.

If I have a chance to go to Watsons Bay again, I will definitely go there.

Bus number -380 (bondi junction)
I went to the clif near Bondaybeach with my classmate.

It was so nice weather to hike today.
we can have seen a wonderfull view from the top of the hill!

I can not explain how great it is!

After hiking,we got lunch in the park.
Because I was so hungrry, I could have all of lunch!!

Watson Bay for the first time/ Kahori

It was first time to visit Watson Bay though I have been in Sydney for two month. It was beautiful and comfortable day today, we were very lucky.

Actually, this is the last month for me to stay in Australia, so I chose the Australian studies as an elective class. I think it was good choice. I could talk with many students whom I haven't known, and made friends with them.

The place that we went was Watson Bay, which has beautiful sea. To tell the truth, I was exhausted by walking for a long time. I suggest you to wear sensible shoes if you go there. Though I was so tired and I haven't known the place, I want to recommend the place to my friends because I really like it now.

STAN by Eminem. Written by Rogerio

The song is about an Eminem’s biggest fan who wants to be like Him is. This guy is called Stan (That’s why the name of the music), and He is always trying to get in touch with Eminem by letter, e-mail, phone, wherever…

In the first part of the song Stan is writing a letter to send him, saying that he had already sent one letter before, but Eminem doesn’t replayed. Them he starts to try to understand why he hasn’t replayed to this first letter, putting the blame on the post office.

In the second part, (Eminem hasn’t replayed Stan letter’s yet) Stan start to feel angry and decides to write a lot of things complaining about Eminem, asking why He doesn’t answer to the letter and this time He is not putting the blame on the post office anymore, he stars to think that Eminem doesn’t care about Him and He feels like rejected by his idol.

In the third part Stan is inside his car with his girlfriend locked into his trunk, this time He is not writing a letter, He is recording on his radio a message to Eminem, saying that already pass 6 months and he ain’t got no answer, and all that he wanted was just one letter from Eminem, but He couldn’t have that because he doesn’t deserve it. Stan is drinking and driving his car at 144.44km when suddenly the car drives over the cliff

DEPECHE SOUND, Silvio

One day in Basildon (Eng) four clever guys decided to change the history of music…
We are in 1980, England is going out from a period formed by punk , Sex Pistols, The Clash, Buzzcoocks and others
We know that British punk influenced so much the music scene in England, especially London. and around where still didn’t exist other town of music of Uk in that period (Manchester, Glasgow). It was so strange, quite impossible, that a band, formed by four boys who prefered to use electronic music rather than the classic sound of the guitar and drums.
Dépêche Mode tried for the first time to educate their fans not so narrow minded about music. From the first album ‘ speak and spell ‘ they touched every style of music compressing them in the base of the project Depeche Mode.
So, beginning with a young and amateur cd which had a profile similar of disco music, they developed their sound, achieving the success with the first hit ‘ Never let me down’ that is still played by Djs today
The project arrived at the complete confirm with the song ‘ enjoy the silence ‘ , after the band took a danger way, an involution who bring them at one possibility of broken.

Have You Ever Listened to This Song?? MASA

THIS LOVE
Mroon5

It's a song about a man trying to win his girlfriend’s love.

This man was so high on love that he didn’t realize her love was changing.
He had nearly lost her love when he realized.
She said goodbye to him many times.
But he tried to convince her to stay as if they were playing a game.
It was so hard to keep her satisfied and coming back every night.
Despite this, her love was dying.
He is tired from getting her love back.
But he had no choice because he couldn’t say goodbye....

He didn't want to say and hear “Goodbye”.
He knew everything about her. But he couldn't see the changes.
He tried so hard to keep her love that he was fed up.
But even if he tried to keep her satisfied, her love was already somewhere else.
And so he just got tired more and more.

I like this song, especially this lyric because I can sympathize with him.
I’ll recommend it to anyone who has a lover you don’t want to leave.

Ben Harper - Lorella

I’m going to speak about Ben Harper because I like this singer, I like the way he sings and his voice. His name is Benjamin Chase Harper. He was born on the 28 October 1969 in California USA. He is a singer, guitarist, author and composer.
He started to sing in 1992 and continues today. He plays guitar and the band has a pianist, keyboardplayer, bassguitarist, drumer and percussionist to make alternative rock, folk, rock, blues, gospel and reggae.
He began to play the guitar when he was a child. In1992 he made his first CD (Pleasure and Pain), but he became famous in 1997 with his third CD. So he started with his band “The Innocent Criminals” a world tour. In 1999 he met Jack Johnson, a new singer, and Ben Harper helped him to become famous.
He has a strange way of playing the guitar (slide technique). He puts the guitar on his legs and the strings of the instrument are facing up. He uses a slide bar. That makes an other song. This way of playing comes from the bluesmen, from Mississippi.
He is a very good singer. If you don’t know this man go to listen to his songs. He has made 12 albums and a lot of songs with other singers, for example, Stephen Marley.
Now he is married and has 2 children.

complicated/Avril lavigne written by Miyuki

She is talking about her boyfriend. He always worries about the past and what others do. She does not like this behaviour. Her words are severe toward him. However, I think she wants to say “You should be yourself.” She is the opposite of him, but I guess she loves him.
For me, this song is the only English song I can sing in Karaoke. Me and my friends of university sang this many times during university. This rhythm was good for warming us up. Besides, the English song sounded cool to us. We scrambled for the right to sing it.
This song makes me cheerful because I have youthful memories about this. It reminds me of myself. I can make my life complicated and also simple.

Get on the new song!! by Ju Young

I like the song- I'd Rather Dance With You, released in 2004, played by KINGS OF CONVENIENCE. KINGS OF CONVENIENCE is an indie folk-pop duo from Norway. Consisting of Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe(I don’t know how to pronounce it.) They’ve know each other from the age of 10. I like their delicate and acoustic sounds and smooth voices.
I feel happy whenever I listen to this song. Its main theme is the same as the title. :)
He prefers to dance with someone than to talk. Because they might be in a club or a bar with such loud music that they can hardly talk and understand each other. There’s also a chance to misunderstand. Furthermore he hasn’t read a book and just saw one boring film. He isn’t sure to be charming, and actually he doesn’t mind being cool or not. He just suggests dancing, getting into the swing and moving your hips. Then he would make you laugh trying to pretend the guy who sings and so on.
‘I’d rather dance with you than talk with you!’- How cool it is!

I also love the video for I'd Rather Dance With You, which topped MTV's European list as the best music video of 2004. It’s funny and humorous. It makes me smile. I recommend you take a look and enjoy the clip on YOUTUBE.

*****
I'd Rather Dance With You
(Lyrics)
I'd rather dance with you than talk with you,
so why don't we just move into the other room.
There's space for us to shake, and 'hey, I like this tune'.

Even if I could hear what you said,
I doubt my reply would be interesting for you to hear.
Because I haven't read a single book all year
and the only film I saw, I didn't like it at all.
I'd rather dance than talk with you.

The music's too loud and the noise from the crowd increases the chance of misinterpretation.
So let your hips do the talking.
I'll make you laugh by acting like the guy who sings,
and you'll make me smile by really getting into the swing.
I'd rather dance than talk with you.

The story of Megadeth by Greenby

Megadeth is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California. It was formed in 1983. Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson founded Megadeth. Dave is lead guitarist, main songwriter, and vocalist. David is base guitarist. Both Dave and David left the band Metallica to start Megageth. Megadeth has eleven studio albums, six live albums, two EPs, thirty singles, thirty two music videos, and three compilations.

Megadeth is famous for their way of playing the guitar, especially their guitar solos which are a trade mark of Megadeth. Their songs have lyrical theme which relate to war, politics, addiction and relationships.

In the 1980s, Megadeth became famous as a pioneer of the American thrash metal movement, but they had a problem which was a frequent changing of experienced members. They were notorious for this. Only Mustaine and Ellefson who were the founding members of Megade were stable members from 1983 to 2002. Megadeth was deformed in 2002 because Mustaine got severe nerve injury in his left arm. But Mustaine got better and he reformed Megadeth in 2004. They are making new album and playing now.

Dream on or realise it…

When you look back on your childhood or teens, you certainly have been asked 'what you want to do when you graduate' or 'what you will do for a living'. Most people, me included, responded to the question with either the answer of 'what their parents wanted them to be' or 'what is an occupation worth having '. Now you are in your 20’s or 30’s, what do you reckon? Is your “normal” life what you dreamed of?

I have been living in Australia for five months. Before I came here, I worked for a multinational accounting firm as an accountant. X years before then when I finished my military service and returned to the university, I needed to prepare myself for life outside uni. I decided to become an accountant and not only was I interested in the role of accountants in a capitalist society, but I majored in accounting at my university. The way of being of an accountant required a lot of devotion from me in my twenties. Three tenths of my twenties were spent to achieve it. As my colleagues did, I buried myself in the textbooks. I studied more than ten hours a day for three and a half years to pass the CPA exam. As far as what I do for a living is concerned, I made my dream real.

When pursuing your dreams, you will face the question of “what if” continuously. To minimize being shaken by the question of “what if”, you are required to have a firm resolve for your dream. In my opinion, this will help you carry out your life goals without hesitation. It gives you strength to go through the problem, no matter how hard the problem is. So you need to find where to base the resolve for pursuing your dreams.

It is devastating to fail when you really wanted it so much. No matter how hard you try to ward off a sense of failure, nothing can compensate for it. In this time of frustration, it is a very good time (?) to decide whether you try again or not “Is that what you sincerely want? If so, do you think you can bust your guts for your dream?” If you have an affirmative answer to this question, you can’t live without achieving your dreams.

Do you think you are in times of trouble in the pursuit of your dreams? Try again and harder with more passion.
