Bulgogi hiroshi&mariane&takashi&seulbi


Ingredients
1kg scotch fillet ¾ cup Korean soy sauce ¼ cup water 100g sugar 6 cloves garlic 4 onion , 2 carrots4 tbsp sesame oil Pinch pepper Grape seed oil or olive oil 2 onion sliced Spring onion sliced Optional garnish: finely sliced red pepper, sesame seeds


Preparation
Slice the scotch fillet as thin as possible. Add soy sauce, water, sugar, garlic, carrots, onion and spring onion.
Leave 20 minutes marinade.
Heat frying pan and add some oils and add everything.
Fry 10 minutes and add some sesame oil.Heat a heavy based pan and add olive oil. Cook marinated fillet for around 3 minutes, adding the juice so as not to dry the beef. Add sliced onion and spring onion and cook for another minute. Tip: Koreans love to eat bulgogi by placing a small amount of steamed rice in a lettuce leaf, a slice of bulgogi and small amount of kimchi (pickled fermented vegetable available in Asian stores). Roll up and eat.

Taronga Zoo - Luciane & Fang Fang 551



This week Wednesday we went to Taronga Zoo by ferry, it was very beautiful day. On the ferry we saw a lot of scenery, opera house\harbour bridge etc.
In the Zoo, there are Asian animals and Australian animals. we saw most animals. From Asia there are elephants and chimpanzees, red pandas and gorillas \tigers\lions etc. In elephant’s room, there is captivity reproduction baby elephant with only 1 month. But we think everybody favourite is koala , because it’s very lovely and only Australian.
And then, we saw seal show and bird show, we enjoyed bird show, there were birds fly in the sky. It was wonderful show.
This trip everybody was so happy, we were together, took many photos and everybody was very friendly.


PAD THAI - SUPAP AND PETER


Beautiful day! (6th Aug 2009) Every body ate lunch together.

Our class 551 cooked Thai Food called PAD THAI. It’s famous food in Thailand.

We went to buy important ingredients in the supermarket.
Ingredients :
- Rice Noodles
- Chicken
- Eggs
- Spring Onion
- Onion or Garlic
- Tofu
- Peanuts
- Oil
- Soy Sauce
- Some Sugar
- Dry Shrimp (If you need)
- Pad Thai Sauce ( You can find in the Asian shop)

We cooked in a kitchen at the school for about 50 minutes.
Method :
1. Soak water in hot high for 15 minutes.
2. Cut chicken and tofu into small cubes.
3. Slide spring onion
4. Heat oil in frypan on high.
5. Add chopped onion or chopped garlic.
6. Add chicken, tofu, eggs and noodles.
7. Add Pad Thai sauce, soy sauce and sugar and mix together.
8. Mix Peanuts and spring onion.
9. Serve Hot.

Good appetite!

We enjoyed lunchtime. We also had Korean food, salads, cookies, special ice cream with roast fruit and wine and some drinks.

It was beautiful time. We like to remember.

banana cake recipe




ingredients: cake mix ,water,2 eggs, banana




method


1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.2. Put into a cake cups and into a oven.3.Bake for about 20 minutes until brown on the top.

Brazilian dessert nutella flambe/ Matteo & Mariane & Chiyako







INGREDIENT:
Ice cream
Nutella
fruit ( pear , banana , strawberry )
cognac
sugar
butter

Recipe:

1. First put the nutella in the plate , after , put the ice cream on the nutella.
2. Cut the strawberry in quarters , the pear in small cubes and banana in small slices.
3. Put the butter in hot frying pan , add the fruit and sugar , cook for three or four minutes.
4. After 3 or 4 minutes add cognac (60 ml ) and set alight.
5. When the flame stops add the fruit to the nutella and ice cream .
